Presentation:

Social networks are becoming a valuable source of information for individuals, companies and companies. Indeed, the data within these social networks is a mine of information whose applications range from social behavior modeling and analysis to recommender systems. However, despite their ubiquity, social networks analysis and mining raises several challenges at both theoretical and practical levels. Indeed, social networks are time-varying and distributed by nature. In addition, the huge amount of data makes computational complexity a major concern for the algorithms to be developed. This algorithmic efficiency is further hampered by privacy concerns when dealing with private data. The session on social network mining and analysis aims at bringing together practitioners and researchers to make them able to share their knowledge in social network analysis. Both theoretical and experimental submissions are encouraged.

Topics:

Topics include -but not limited to:

  • Community detection
  • Influence Maximization
  • Recommendation systems
  • Behavioral analysis
  • Privacy preservation in social computing
